Jersey Shore vs. Wilmington – PPD
Rain struck again the Blue Rocks and BlueClaws again, as officials pulled the plug on this one due to poor field conditions, or as they used call it at the Pfitz, Saturday. They’re hoping to play two this afternoon.
Fredericksburg vs. Fayetteville – PPD
With multiple storms passing through central North Carolina last night, they opted to postpone this one rather than stop and start. An afternoon doubleheader has been scheduled.

This is why we call this “ player development “.

Perales injury being held close to the vest ?
Perales got hit on the wrist by a line drive, xrays were negative for a fracture. I suspect he’s still sore. disappointing as he was ramping up his pitch count.

Speaking of Zane Smith 8-16-1989 , I see he appeared in that game after Bryn Smith . Buck Rodgers still had a nine game over .500 slate after the loss to Giants 3-2.
Zane Smith for Willie Greene ( high school teammate of Rondell White , Scott Ruskin and the reunion for Felipe Alou- his son Moises to Fran’s that great outfield with Walker and Grissom . ( that great Upper Deck card in 1989 set Witt those three in a picture .

good start for Kent, sharp with all four of his pitches. 65 pitches getting him what should have been an out into the sixth. I could see him getting a late season look.
King’s doubles were not cheapies but his bobble in the sixth was his second of the game. his arm saved him on the first one.
Wiemer looks totally disinterested.
Worcester starter Sansone maxes out at 88 but set down the first nine Wings in order.
Boss man your profacy of older for FRED level nearing promotion is true
Moroknok ( Butler Bulldog alum ) and Walsh truly needing to go to the Delaware canyon of I- 95.

“ Tito effect “ on the Tennessee walker – the fella from Franklin .
Hassell 3 sort of like Jon VanderWal out of Westetn Michigan who didn’t fit in the Expo talent glut stable during Alou , Walker Grissom etc .
He was sold to Colorado and became one of baseballs best pinch hitters .
