A hit batsman, a walk, and a wild pitch with two out set up the Mets to walk off the Red Wings with a two-out single, 3-2. Starter Andry Lara fell one out shy of a quality start, allowing the first two Syracuse runs on four hits and no walks while striking out seven. Zach Penrod took the loss after getting the first two outs of the 9th before the aforementioned sequence. Christian “Hey It’s” Franklin reached base four times on a walk, two singles, and a HR (solo, natch) while Robert Hassell walked and doubled. The rest of the lineup went 2-for-24 with two walks.

Erie doubled up Harrisburg, 4-2 to extend the Sens’ losing streak to three. Shinnosuke Ogasawara spun his second straight quality start with two runs allowed on six hits (two HR), no walks, and eight whiffs. He was stuck with the loss when the Senators were limited to six hits—none in eight scoring chances–and left ten men on base. Sam Petersen broke up the shutout with a solo HR in the 2nd, his fifth longball of the season while Leandro Pineda doubled in Seaver King from 1st base with two outs in the 7th.

The Blue Rocks erased a 4-0 deficit with a five-run 5th, capped off by a grand slam by Hunter Hines. That put starter Josh Randall in a position to win despite giving up three runs on two homers and seven hits total over five innings. Alas, Brady Hill retired just one of five batters faced as he got the blown-save-loss with three runs allowed on two hits and two walks as the ‘Burgers flipped Wilmington, 7-5. Kevin Bazzell led the Blue Rocks’ hit column with three singles and a run scored as Wilmington went 2-for-10 with RISP and left on nine runners on base.

In the nightcap, Wilmington built a 4-0 lead after three only see the ‘pen give it away with four in the 6th and a walkoff in the 8th to lose, 5-4 and complete the doubleheader sweep. Yoel Tejeda Jr. took a no-hitter into the 6th when he gave up his one and only hit with one out and left after getting the second out. The four-run lead was too small for Adam Boucher to hold as he gave up a single to the first batter he faced and lost the shutout with an error by Teo Banks. He walked the next two to load the bases. Pablo Aldonis came on and issued a walk to the first batter he faced for the second run, then let in the tying runs with a two-run. After a 1-2-3 seventh Aldonic was left in to start the 8th and coughed up the game-winner on a one-out single for the blown-save-loss. Ethan Petry singled and homered to lead the Wilmington offense, followed by T.J. White with two singles. Elijah Green did not strike out for the first time this season and stole his 10th base.

Fredericksburg snapped a five-game losing streak to Hill City, courtesy of Eli Willits’s two-run single in the 9th to turn a 2-2 tie into a 4-2 win. Carson Fischer pitched into the 6th for the third straight start, giving up both Howlers runs on six hits with no walks and three strikeouts. Recently demoted Julian Tonghini picked up the win in relief, courtesy of Grant Manning, who stranded a runner and got the last two outs of the 9th for his first career save. Juan Cruz led the FredNats hit parade with two singles and a double, followed by Nick “Power to the” Peoples who walked once and singled twice. Roster moves: LHP Nolan Hughes, RHP Landon Harmon placed on the 7-Day I.L.; LHP Ty Bothwell, RHP Gus Hughes reassigned from the FCL.

The F-Nats finally got to begin the 2026 campaign and doubled up the F-Mets, 6-3. Mikey Tepper pitched for the first time in 13 months and had the rust to prove it: two runs, three hits, one walk, and two whiffs over two innings. Marlon De La Cruz made his stateside debut with a walk and two whiffs over one and 2/3rds hitless and scoreless innings. Luis Arias began his third tour of the FCL with a single, walk, homer, two RBI and two errors while Carlos Tavares singled and doubled to power the FCL Nationals offense, which scored in five of six “ups.” Roster moves: LHP Ty Bothwell, RHP Gus Hughes assigned from Washington; RHP Mikey Tepper assigned from Wilmington for MiLB rehab.
