Syracuse posted a picket fence early while Rochester barely broke the seal for a 3-1 loss. Luis Perales gave up all three S-Mets runs on five hits (one HR) and a walk while striking out five, but lost for the fourth time in seven appearances. Three relievers combined for three shutout frames, but the Red Wings managed just six hits. Dylan Crews’s double in the 8th was the only extra-base hit and the only hit in eight RISP chances as Rochester left nine men on base. Roster moves: RHP Zak Kent recalled to Washington; RHP Andre Granillo optioned from Washington.

The Senators went back-and-forth with the SeaWolves but were leading 4-3 going into the 7th. The Harrisburg ‘pen threw BP over the final three and 2/3rds, coughing up ten runs in the Sens’ 13-6 loss – its fourth in five games. Jackson Kent pitched into the 6th, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four. Thomas Schultz got out of the 6th unscathed did not escape the 7th as he was charged with his third blown save and second loss. Seaver King and Sam Petersen both tripled once and doubled twice while Leandro Pineda singled twice, scored twice, and drove in two to lead the Sens offense.

Thunderstorms rolled through Spartanburg last night around 7:30pm and postponed Wednesday’s game to today.

The FredNats homered three times with nobody on base and were unable to cash in the 15 other baserunners they put on in a 4-3 loss to Hill City. Jonah Conradt left after an apparent injury after 24 pitches, two outs, three runs, and two walks in the 1st. Fredericksburg’s relievers locked down the Howlers until the 9th, when Yerlin Luis hit the fourth solo HR of the night for the walkoff win. Eli Willits, Yeremy Cabrera, and Nick “Power to the” Peoples all went deep for the FredNats, who had but one hit in eight RISP chances and left on 12 baserunners.
