Five Scorpions pitchers combined to eclipse the Solar Sox, 11-0 on Friday night.

Jared Simpson was among the Scottsdale quintent, scattering three hits over two innings without a walk or a strikeout.

Seaver King was the starting shortstop and reached base twice on a walk in the 1st and an RBI single in the second. He scored both times. Defensively, he had four assists and started one of the two Scorpions DPs.

Ethan Petry manned right field for Scottsdale and also had a single, walk, and an RBI. He did not score a run and had one putout while fielding three hits.

Scottsdale (5-3) returns home to host Surprise (5-2) tonight.

Jerry reports back that the pitch hit Sam Petersen square in the noggin, but the helmet worked as designed. Petersen stayed on his feet and was able to walk on his own power and was lifted due to the concussion protocol.
