Rochester batters struck out 16 times in a 5-0 shutout loss to Syracuse. Kyle Luckham took the loss despite turning in six innings of one-run ball in his AAA debut. Christian “Hey It’s” Franklin led the Red Wings hit column with a single and a double.

Cayden Wallace hit a grand slam to give the Senators an early 5-0 lead, but Alex Clemmey got lit like a Kennedy at an open bar in his AA debut, giving up eight runs on eight hits (four HRs). Wallace led Harrisburg’s 12-hit parade with four, followed by Seaver King with three hits and a walk.

Travis “Sunday” Sthele dominated Jersey Shore for eight innings in a 6-2 Wilmington win. Jared McKenzie doubled and homered while Elijah Nunez singled twice and scored twice to pace the Blue Rocks offense. Roster moves: RHP Johan Otanez reassigned from Fredericksburg.

The FredNats fell behind 6-2 midway through and could catch the Red Sox for a 7-5 loss. Liam Sullivan was bewitched for four runs on seven hits (two HR) ove four innings to take the loss. Ethan Petry doubled twice, homered, and drove in three to lead the Fredericksburg offense. Roster moves: RHP Andy Luis reassigned from the FCL.

The DSL Nationals got their asses handed to them by the DSL Twins, 23-1 to lose their fourth straight. The lone D-Nats run scored on an error, though it came on a third consecutive single with one out in the 7th.

Cayden Wallace seems to have bought a partial ownership stake in the Hartford Goat Yards this week as he has 11 hits in 5 games.
Wallace has looked like a different player this week, both offensively and defensively. In the past, he’s played too many balls off to the side or retreated. Great defense this week. Also, Sens bats have come alive.
