DSL Nationals, 25-29, 6th place, DSL South, 9GB
The D-Nats wrap up the 2025 season with games today and tomorrow, hoping to snap a four-game losing streak.
it is the first time that the Senators have swept a 6 game series
Delino Senior smiling especially when Pena hits a GS
Cueing on the Blazing Saddles theme , I’m sure Lowry could have song the song I’m Tired ( of going and coming ) with all the trips he made to the mound last night
Is Elijah’s Winchester throw to the plate last night caught on video ?
Luke either you’re saving letters while typing or Meckley truly likes the names Xander .
Well we have reached that stage in the season where many of the starters once on the DL have been activated and are active pushing some one time starters to swing roles .
DL list only holds Sykora , Stuart , Astencio and Tepper of true starters haulted by injuries .
I doubt next season we will see Lara , Choi or Shuman get stretched out unless in a dire scenario ?
Monday Monday ( Mamas and Papas ) rain from 11-2 pm here .
The Boston is hunkering down
re: Meckley Eric Bach has been using it in his broadcasts and press notes so I’m guessing that’s what Xander prefers. But if I were looking to save letters, it’d be “Al”
lol hence my moniker
I’m only human ..

Prove yourself by choosing all motorcycles before you proceed !
What’s happened to Sam Petersen? He’s only played once in the past two weeks, a one at bat outing on Aug. 13. Is he injured? Why no IL move?
Elijah Green’s F’burg offensive stats over the past three seasons:
2023: OPS .629; K rate 42%
2024: OPS .648; K rate 44%
2025: OPS .717; K rate 34%
Also, Green is now older than league average for the Carolina League. Baby steps for Elijah, but he’s so far away from where he needs to be.
With his defense, baserunning, and arm he will forever be tantalizing. But unless/until he learns to make regular contact that’s all he will ever be.
Chaparro going back to DC.
Tena takes the fall. Not undeserved either. But it could be good to have more depth at 3B. House is quietly going through a major slump, hitting .158/.169/.175 through his past 17 games, with a frightening 1:20 BB:K ratio (34 K%). I’m happy to let him try to work through it, but extra rest/pinch hits from other players couldn’t hurt. DeJong can still back him up, but with him also backing up at DH, SS, 2B and even now 1B, he’s stretched a bit thin.
Robles got a Robles during a AAA rehab game and threw his bat at the pitcher. 5th HBP in 15 ABs. He did apologize.
The video is classic Victor.
Yes, he got hit by the pitch. It was also a strike as Victor swung at the pitch. Don’t think I can ever remember a baseball rumble started by a batter after he swung at the pitch that hit him.
he got hit on the right arm the first time up and the right shoulder the second time. both times he was called for swinging at the pitch. so no official “Robles”
Interesting how at DSL young arms grown into being a starter .
Sandy probably only was runnnh out four guys being groomed to start before one guy went on DL?
