Plugging Away at the Watchlist
Hibernation, as longtime commenter and e-migo Souldrummer suggested, seems to be in order as things have slowed down considerably, this being just the second post of 2023.
The last BA transaction update had one signing: journeyman RHP José Mujica. Two days ago, the big club converted a waiver-wire pickup (A.J. Alexy) into a turning-19 RHP Christian Jimenez, who has the same name as many athletes, including a defenseman for Harvard. So not much in the way of a scouting report aside from the boxscore: a line of 3.38/2.42/1.15 in 37⅓ innings (10G, 7GS).
Next week, we should get some news about the IFA signs, with Elian Soto the most-rumored signing to be after January 15. While we may want to him the Lloyd to Paul of the Waner Bros, I’d be happy with Elian merely being the Dominic to the Joe of the DiMaggios.
As the pic suggests, I have begun working on the watchlist player capsules, knocking off a couple of categories already but that’s before I get to OFs and RHPs, which may take a wee bit longer. And, as promised, I’ve updated the Road Trips page to include Salem and Charleston.
And with a post to confirm the site hasn’t gone dark, I return you to trying to avoid the latest entitled white man without a clue.
Luke lmao on your brothers comedy bit there
AA to the Twins – face it ! Many are just placements in a long rebuild until the true blue chippers seize the day and the 24 MAN roster spots cemently .
Bleacher Report has put out a Top 100 prospect list and we have 4 of our guys.
#22 — Robert Hassell
#37 — James W#ood
#50 — Elijah Green
#53 — Cade Cavalli
I expect if and when Brady House gets back on the field he will crack this list. At this point T.J. White has passed him but let’s root for both.
