Rochester blew leads of 4-1 and 7-6 before a seven-run 8th finally put the game on ice for a 14-9 win. The bullpen implosion erased five innings of one-run ball from Chandler “Lake” Champlain. Connor Van Scoyoc served up up two homers and walked a batter before taking the beer from Andry Lara who let in that runner plus five runs of his own over an inning and 2/3rds. Justin Lawrence stopped the bleeding by retiring the only batter he faced, which was good enough for the “W” when the Mets throwers returned the favor in the 8th. Leandro Pineda racked up ten total bases with a double and two homers while Max Romero Jr., Andrew Pinckney, Buddy Kennedy, and Cayden Wallace all went deep. Roster moves: LHP Richard Lovelady MLB rehab transferred from Harrisburg.

Alex Clemmey wobbled in the 1st but didn’t fall down, instead he made it through five full for the 13th time in 25 starts to win his fifth game as the Senators straightened the Curve, 8-5. Six of the nine Harrisburg hits went for extra bases including homers by Sam Brown and T.J. White. Devin Fitz-Gerald and Branden Boissiere both went 2-for-3 with a walk and double to lead the way for the Sens. Roster moves: C Caleb Farmer reassigned from Wilmington.

Wilmington got four runs in the first and survived a late charge by Hudson Valley to come away with a 5-3 win. Liam Sullivan tossed five shutout innings to earn his first High-A win in 10 career starts, allowing two hits, no walks, and striking out seven. The Blue Rocks took advantage of seven walks to score five times on six hits, including RBI doubles by Angel Feliz and Jacob Walsh. Six steals also helped with Ronny Cruz swiping three bags – including home plate to crack the seal in the 1st.

After nearly an hour’s rain delay, the FredNats continued their domination of the WarBirds with a 6-3 win. 14th Rd. pick Zack Konstantinovsky opened the game with two scoreless, giving up a one-out single in the first and striking out the other six batters he faced. Xander Meckley let in a run over the next four innings to pick up the win. Gavin Fien emerged from witness protection to single twice and score twice as did Rafael Ramirez Jr. to lead the Fredericksburg offense.

Fitz-gerald is now hitting .338/.402/.550 over his past 21 games. Really encouraging end to the season!
Also it’s really good to see Fien back (with a good game to boot). Wonder what his absence was all about.
There’s a really interesting SP line up today, with Herz, Susana and Reyes pitching. I’ll be curious to see how they all fare.
Herz’s (2nd) rehad stint has followed the traditional path, start the game, ramp up the pitch count each time out and have a seat.
Gray’s is totally different, come in in the fifth or sixth and get pulled an inning later. his last three outings were 14, 9 and 12 pitches.
neither has flashed much stuff and only Herz is getting any swing and miss.
per game announcer, Fein crashed into the outfield wall and had to be removed from the game two weeks ago.

So hopefully the new regime found a little magic. I guess if players are held back longer, minor league results will be better, but it didn’t seem like that was being done in 2026.
