Blue Rox faced some good young Yankee farmhand prospect arms that lefty following Luis Gil especially !
Perales still has a long way to go before he’s major league ready.
King, Morales and Romero (?!), though, look like pretty finished products to me.
I have only seen Romero behind the plate once. Too bad he wasn’t there yesterday. Between both teams, there were 10 stolen bases with Charlotte having 6. Granted at least one was with a runner on 3rd. The speedsters included Riley Adams (with a runner on 3rd) and Joey Weimer (no one else on base), each with one stolen Base !! The Wings had a double steal with 2nd and home. Wings pitchers also threw three WP. Not sure Romero could have stopped them either as they were not close. Romero’s HR was a shot leaving no doubt. Wallace’s just barely cleared the fence over Joey in LF. Will be there on Sat, hopefully Romero is catching.
Scarey moment for YoYo. He was HBP on the hand while batting. Bad enough that he dropped the bat and ran to the dugout. They did the spray etc and was able to stay in the game.
The Nats bump Kevin Bazzell to H’burg.
Listening to Red Wings radio broadcast. Every player in the Nationals starting lineup tonight spent at least sometime with the Red Wings. Guess that’s what happens when you’re in a long rebuild.
