The Red Wings rallied for two in the 3rd and three in the 4th and cruised to their fifth straight win, 7-2 over the Storm. Jared Simpson (3IP) and Luis Perales (2IP) were perfect for the first five before Riley Cornelio issued a walk in the 6th and gave up three straight singles in the 7th to lose the no-no and the shutout. Perales came away with his seventh win. Seaver King walked, singled twice, and drove in two with his 11th HR at AAA while Leandro Pineda singled, homered, scored twice, and plated two to lead the Rochester offense. Roster moves: LHP Erik Tolman added to 40-man, recalled to Washington; RHP Yovanny Cruz optioned from Washington; RHP Connor Van Scoyoc activated from Development List; Paxton Schultz placed on T.I.L.

Harrisburg scored in each of its last six “ups” to erase a 5-0 deficit and beat Akron, 10-6. Josh Randall was dinged for those five runs on five hits (two HR) and two walks over four and 1/3rd innings. He struck out five. Holden Powell picked up the win in relief, striking out four of five batters faced while walking the other. Devin Fitz-Gerald, Ethan Petry, and Sam Brown each hit solo HRs as the Senators marched to a ten-hit parade, with beers on Elijah Green, who drew two of the team’s five walks.

The Keys built a 9-0 lead through four and held off a late charge by the Blue Rocks to take the opener, 12-9. Tucker Biven threw in-game BP for four runs on seven hits (one HR) with no walks and no strikeouts. Teo Banks doubled in one and hit a three-run HR in the 7th while Caleb Farmer and Jacob Walsh both went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI to lead the Wilmington offense.

In the nightcap, Wilmington outslugged the Keys to double ’em up, 8-4 and split the twinbill. Liam Sullivan muddled through two and 2/3rds innings, giving up two runs on two hits (one HR) and walking four. Jackson Dannelly got the win in relief with two scoreless innings. The Blue Rocks left on just two while going 3-for-9 with RISP with Ronny Cruz hitting his 10th HR at A+ (13th overall) and Jacob Walsh connecting for his 13th double (19th overall) to pace the Blue Rocks offense.

Six FredNats pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout Cannon Ballers, 5-0. It was ninth shutout of the season but the first of the second half. Gus Hughes started and went the first two and 2/3rds, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out one. Xander Meckley put up three goose eggs in the middle innings to earn the win, his fifth. Juan Cruz homered twice and drove in three while Sir Jamison Jones singled and doubled to lead the Fredericksburg offense.
