The first two Red Wings relievers were ineffective and the offense was held to five hits in a 7-2 loss to the Knights. Carson Palmquist opened the game with a run on two hits and a walk over two innings. Connor Van Scoyoc got the next eight outs but was torched for six runs on two walks and five hits and struck out as many as you did while taking the loss. Cayden Wallace doubled and Riley Adams homered while Seaver King, Phillip Glasser, and Sam Petersen each had a single, with Petersen driving in the first Rochester run and drawing one of the five walks that did not score.

Richmond jumped out to a 3-0 after one and was up 5-1 after 4½ as they Flying Squirrels soared past the Sens, 7-2 to even the series at 2-2. Yoel Tejeda Jr. lost for the third time in four AA starts, charged with four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks over three innings. Caleb Lomavita drove in both runs with an RBI single in the 2nd and a sac fly in the 8th but that was offset by two errors that led to two unearned runs. Cortland Lawson hit one of three doubles (Elijah Green, Sam Brown) and drew three of five Senators walks.

The Blue Rocks built a 4-0 lead that the ‘pen could not hold, but were bailed out when Ronny Cruz hit a two-run HR to take a 6-5 lead. Jacob Roberts cinched by striking out side in the 9th for his fourth save. Tucker Biven struck out five of seven batters while opening the game with two scoreless. Chance Huff coughed up four runs in the 8th while retiring one of six batters faced. Jackson Dannelly walked the first batter he faced but struck out the next two and got the “W.” Jacob Walsh and Elijah Nunez both went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored to lead Wilmington’s 12-hit parade.

Fredericksburg pulled within one at 4-3 after three-run rally in the 6th but Fayetteville got those runs back and held serve to hand the FredNats their third straight loss at 7-4. Xander Meckley was charged with the first six Woodpecker runs on six hits and four walks over five and a 1/3rd innings and lost for the fourth time. Miguel Cabrera reached base three times on two singles and a walk as did Dashyll Tejeda on a single and two walks to lead the Fredericksburg offense.

The D-Tigers2 scored in five of seven “ups” as they dismantled the D-Nats, 11-5 to end a two game streak of not losing. Jhoan Thomas took the brunt of the beating, giving up five runs on a homer and five walks over an inning and 2/3rds. Samil Serrano reached base twice on a single and a walk and drove in two while Juan Duran singled twice to lead the DSL Nationals offense.
