Harrisburg 4 Erie 3
• Clemmey 6IP, 2H, 1R, 1ER, 2BB, 5K, HBP
• T. Schultz (BS, 6; W, 1-2) 1IP, 2H, 1R, 1ER, 0BB, 1K
• Powell (SV, 6) 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 2K
• Pineda 1-4, R, HR, RBI
• White 1-4, R, HR, RBI
T.J. White’s 9th inning HR was the difference in a 4-3 Harrisburg win over Erie. Alex Clemmey turned in his fourth quality start, allowing one run on two hits and a two walks over six innings while striking out five. He left down 1-0 but Leandro Pineda took him off the hook with his third HR in the 7th. The Senators got two more in the 8th to take a 3-2 lead but Thomas Schultz gave it back for his sixth blown save. White’s HR made him the winning pitcher while Holden Powell neutered the SeaWolves with a 1-2-3 ninth for his 6th save. Roster moves: RHP Jhancarlos Lara activated from from the Development List.
Wilmington 2 Brooklyn 1
• Fischer (W, 2-0) 6IP, 2H, 1R, 2BB, 3K, HBP
• Jimenez (SV, 4) 2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 5K
• Willits 1-3, BB, RBI, 2CS
• Mota 1-3, R, BB
Eli Willits reached base twice and was caught stealing twice but his RBI single in the 7th broke a 1-1 tie to give the Blue Rocks a 2-1 win over the Cyclones. Wilmington’s two-run 7th gave Carson Fischer the win, who left the game after six innings of one-run ball on two hits and two walks with three whiffs. Adam Boucher worked a scoreless 7th for the hold while Yeuris Jimenez closed out the game with two perfect innings and five K’s to notch his fourth save. Joreglys Mota also reached base twice in Wilmington’s six-hit, two-walk offense. Roster moves: SS Miguel Villarroel assigned from Washington (MLFA).
Myrtle Beach 11 Fredericksburg 9
• Huesman 2⅔ IP, 5H, 4R, 4ER, 1BB, 2K
• Fagnant (BS, 1; L, 0-1) ⅔ IP, 1H, 4R, 4ER, 3BB, 0K, HR(GS)
• Hines 3-5, R, 3B, RBI
• J. Cruz 2-4, 2R, BB, HR, 2RBI
• M. Cabrera 2-5, R, HR, 2RBI
Fredericksburg outhomered Myrtle Beach 3-2, but the Pelicans’ second and final HR was a grand slam to walk off the FredNats, 11-9. The blown-save-loss went to position player Christian Fagnant as Fredericksburg was allegedly out of bullpen arms despite only five appearing in the game and off day on Monday. The 25-y.o. backup catcher nearly pulled it off after a routine 5-9-4 DP (inexplicably listed as unassisted DP in the box score) A steal and two walks later, Dernich Valdez hit the game-winning grand slam. Levi Huesman made the spot start and dug a 4-0 hole through three. Hunter Hines led the FredNats 11-hit parade with two singles and a triple while Juan Cruz, Manuel Cabrera, and Coy James homered. Roster moves: RHPs Blake Brown, Adam Bogosian reassigned from the FCL; RHP Travis Sthele reassigned from Wilmington (end of MiLB rehab assignment).
