Andrew Pinckney’s two-out single cashed in Yoyo Morales’s leadoff walk in the bottom of the 9th to give Rochester a 2-1 walkoff win over Lehigh Valley. That made a winner out of Luke Young, who pitched a three-up-three-down in the top of the 9th. Luis Perales pitched five shutout innings with one hit, two walks, and seven whiffs. A Trey Lipscomb single followed by a Joey Wiemer double in the 5th ended the 0-0 deadlock. Newcomer Kyle Nicholas coughed up the equalizer in the 7th for the blown save. Roster moves: IF Cayden Wallace promoted from Harrisburg; C Kyle Hayes placed on the Developmental List; RHP Andre Granillo DFA’d; RHP Max Kranick MLB rehab transferred from Harrisburg; RHP Zak Kent optioned from Washington.

Wilmington took a 3-1 lead after the 53-minute rain delay only to have Hudson Valley tie the game back in its half of the third. SSDI in the 7th except the Renegades took a 5-4 lead and held it. Yoel Tejeda, Jr.’s night was shortened to two innings with one run let in on two hits, no walks, and three strikeouts. Yeris Jimenez took the loss with the last two runs allowed on two hits and a walk in two frames. Jacob Walsh drove in two with a single and a homer while Teo Banks singled, doubled, and scored twice to pace the Blue Rocks offense. Roster moves: C Nate Rombach reassigned from Fredericksburg.

The Fireflies scored in five of the first six innings as they bottled up the FredNats, 7-1. Marlon De La Cruz took the loss, his second, on four runs let in on seven hits and three walks over two and a 1/3rd innings. Gavin Fien broke up the no-hitter with a single in the 3rd while Juan Cruz homered in the 6th to end the shutout bid. Fredericksburg mustered just six hits and three walks total. Roster moves: C Brady Cerkownyk reassigned from the FCL.

The DSL Nationals s!@$ the bed in the 8th with eight runs to turn a three-run deficit into an 11-run debacle as they lost their third straight game, 14-4. Anyel Manzueta lost for the fourth time in six appearances (five starts) as the DSL Angels got to him for five runs on five hits, three walks, and three hit batsman. He struck out as many you did. Christopher Navas let in eight in on three hits and three walks and, like the entire D-Nats staff, had zero K’s. Juan Duran single twice and doubled once while Isaias Surance had two singles in four trips to the plate to lead the D-Nats attack.
