Abimelec Ortiz’s grand slam highlighted a six-run 3rd as the Red Wings boiled the Jumbo Shrimp, 11-2 to complete the three-game sweep. Zach Penrod tossed two scoreless as the opener. Luis Perales followed with four and 2/3rds innings of one-run ball with five hits, two walks, and seven whiffs to pick up his fourth win. Every Rochester starter had a hit and three had two, led by Andrew Pinckney with a single and a double.

Led by rehabbing Jake Irvin, three Harrisburg pitchers combined to shut out New Hampshire, 2-0 on three hits. Irvin allowed one hit, walked none, and struck out five over four and 2/3rds. Chance Huff threw three pitches, got the last out of the 5th, and picked up the win. Josh Randall closed it out with four goose eggs to earn the save in his first career relief appearance. Chad Lomavita singled twice and doubled once while Devin Fitz-Gerald had two safeties to lead the Senators seven-hit, two-walk offense that scored twice without a base hit. The Blue Rocks completed the sweep of the BlueClaws with a 10-6 triumph in the series finale. Trevor Williams “worked on some things” with three runs let in on six hits and two walks over three and a 1/3rd but did not lose the lead. Yoel Tejada Jr. got the “W” with two runs let in on two hits and four walks over four and 2/3rds. He struck out six. Elijah Green went 3-for-4 with a double and did not strike out while Angel Feliz scored four times and tripled twice to lead the Wilmington offense. Fredericksburg couldn’t outhit its subpar pitching yet again as Hill City completed the three-game sweep with 10-6 decision. Marlon De La Cruz took the brunt of the beating with six runs (three earned) on two hits, three balks, and five walks over two and 2/3rds innings for his third Low-A loss in seven starts. Coy James and Luke Dickerson both singled, homered, and stole a base while Juan Cruz drove in three with two doubles and a single to power the FredNats attack. Roster moves: LHP Pablo Aldonis, RHP Johan Otanez released.

FCL Nationals, 26-25, 2nd FCL East, 13½ GB
The F-Nats broke even last week and need to only win one of two games this week to secure a winning season for the third time since the GCL became the FCL. They make their final trip to Jupiter tomorrow and finish the season on Thursday with a game in West Palm Beach as the road team.

DSL Nationals, 7-26, 7th DSL Sourh, 15½ GB
The DSL Nationals won one of four last week and caught the DSL Padres Brown in the chase for the worst record in the DSL. Meanwhile Juan Duran and Samil Serrano were among the parade of prospects crammed into the DSL All Star game. Duran flew out in his sole PA while Serrano grounded out in his first at-bat, then singled, stole a base, and scored in his second AB. This week, the D-Nats are home today, Thursday, and Friday and on the road tomorrow and Saturday.
