The IronPigs posted a picket fence in the middle innings and added an insurance run in the 8th to double up the Red Wings, 4-2. All four Rochester pitchers gave up a single run, starting with Luis Perales who put on four baserunners with a single, two walks, and a hit batsman. Seth Shuman lost for the first time as he let in the decisive third run on three hits. Robert Hassell singled, doubled, and walked while Andrew Pinckney singled twice, struck out twice, and stole his 10th base to lead the Red Wings offense, which stuck out 11 times to the IronPigs’ five whiffs. Marlon De La Cruz turned in four innings in his Low-A debut and gave up a run on a home run while walking three and striking out two. Sens scored 10 of their runs in the 8th inning off a guy who had been playing 3B all game. Two of Lomavita’s HRs were off him. Randall looked great. He kept Somerset off balance.
