Isaac Lyon, the oft forgotten throw in to the Ford-Ferrer swap, has been quietly very effective so far. I didn’t catch him getting promoted to Wilmington, AND getting added to the rotation there after throwing in relief in Fburg, but his ERA is down to 2.08 in 3 starts now. Imagine if Lyon ended up being the real piece of the Ferrer trade!

It’s fascinating to see Kyle Luckham’s dominance in the seventh inning before the heartbreaking loss for the Senators, especially with the scoring dropping so late. Meanwhile, the Red Wings’ offense was nearly flawless against Worcester, but I’m curious to see how Andrew Alvarez bounces back after giving up back-to-back strong starts. The relief corps really stepped up for Rochester, but the bullpen struggles in Harrisburg are definitely something the coaching staff will need to address soon.

Seems like maybe Alvarez didn’t take the demotion from the majors well. Especially given his start. Seems to happen in AAA.
