AFL Update: Nov. 10, 2025
Both Nationals named to the 2025 AFL Fall Stars Game played in a 5-4 loss by the N.L. to the A.L.
Seaver King shifted over to second base and went 1-for-3 on an infield singe with a stolen base (pictured). He had two assists and a putout before he was lifted in the bottom of the 6th.
Jake Bennett (if you have to ask which picture is his, please go back to the MASN comments) came into the game when Seaver King left and was probably unhappy when King’s replacement was unable to convert a soft popup into an out. Bennett also gave up a leadoff single and threw a wild pitch but got the goose egg with two strikeouts.
Scottsdale (18-8) visits Salt River (9-17) tonight as the AFL wraps up this week with three regular-season games and three playoff games.

Good to see our guys perform well among the “best”.
And, if you’re reading, great photos, Jerry! Thanks for your photo coverage this year!
it appears that Bennett will get one more start, most likely in the playoffs. he’s done nothing to take the luster off his season. 27/5 K/BB in 21 IP!
I will note that King did well in his other two at bats. In the first he was the only NL batter that out the ball in play. He smoked a liner that required the RF to take maybe two steps to catch. His second AB he hit a ball up the middle that ricocheted off of the pitcher and the SS (McGonicle) made a sweet charging barehand-and-throw play that just got King as a baserunner advanced to second.
