AFL Update: Oct. 15, 2025
The Scorpions led 7-0 after two and 9-4 after six, but that was too small of a lead as the Rafters paddled back upstream to win, 12-9.
Sean Paul Liñan got the start and gave up a solo HR while striking out three and walking none over three innings.
Two Nationals were in the starting lineup and another came out of the ‘pen:
- Seaver King doubled three times and singled once to go 4-for-6 with two runs scored and three runs driven in. On defense, he had one putout and one assist while playing shortstop.
- Ethan Petry reached base three times on two walks and a Robles while fielding two singles in right field for Scottsdale.
- Austin Amaral got the last two outs in the 9th, rolling two groundouts and stranding a runner.
With the loss, Scottsdale falls to .500 (3-3) but with a loss by Surprise, remains one game back. The Scorpions next play tomorrow night against the Desert Dogs.
Linan started as well, going 3, allowing only 1 hit (a HR), while striking out 3.
Pablo Aldonis followed him up with a stinker, allowing 3 ER in 2 IP.
A really encouraging start from King! Hope he can keep it up!
Very SSS, but after five games, King has ten hits, with six for extra bases. More of this please.
I repeat
Clean house , Paul !
Kevin Mc should be acquired to be Seavers buddy !
