Still no Linan sightings. I think we’re at day 15 without an appearance. That’s injury-related, and not playing-time issues. Not good, given that Linan made the AFL roster largely because his season was cut short due to injuries. Hope it’s something minor!
But while we’re at it, we also haven’t seen Amaral and Aldonis since the 24th (by comparison Simpson has appeared twice since then). It’s not quite long enough to attribute an injury, like Linan, but I hope we see them soon.
To the ole ex- po fans on this stream
Yes Blakes dad Sal played for Buck Rodger’s expos in 1984-85
Maybe Paul T can lasso Epperson over to the Nats .
As I just posted over at Nats Arms Race, the roster moves brings out 40 man count down to 38. We’ve got a lot of questionable adds to avoid R5 (Cornelio, Luckham, Wallace) and a few obvious adds (Bennet, Franklin, Grissom). It’s going to be tough to manage these numbers without completely handcuffing our hands on the free agent market.
Luke, I don’t have a BA subscription. Anything interesting to note from their draft report? It’s a strange time to post such an article… but I guess they need content of some sort during this time.
TBH, not really. A lot of slobbering over Willits.
Chad Epperson dark horse candidate
Gotta love a former catcher as managerial material .
He did manage that stocked AA Red Sox affiliate .
Looks like it’ll be another dark horse, former catcher: Drew Butera.
Butera is one of a select few managerial options who is actually younger than Toboni (born in 1990!).
They’re really leading by example with this youth revolution. Excited to learn more about Butera!
Already messed up his name, with actual major leaguer and same name sharer (wonder if they’re related?)
Welcome to the franchise, BLAKE!
How did we fare against teams he managed?
