Shinnosuke Ogasawara turned in five innings of two-run ball on six hits and two walks while striking out five in his fifth start for Rochester. All four runs off losing pitcher Eduardo Salazar came with two outs in the 8th as the visitors went double-single-double-single with a stolen base an error in between the barrage. Jersey Shore pitchers stifled the Wilmington batters as they blanked them on one hit the rest of the way to a 3-1 win. Susana made it through three innings and struck eight while losing his second A+ start. Erik Tolman finished the game with one run let in on two hits and a walk. Anthony Arguelles and Austin Amaral each put up a goose to earn the hold and save, respectively. Nats Sell Again at the Trade Deadline to Kick Off Year Four of the Rebuild
Last night Amed Rosario became the latest one-year contract shipped out in July, traded to the Yankees for 26-y.o. RHP Clayton Beeter and 18-y.o. OF Browm Martinez.
Beeter, who turns 27 in October, switches from the Yankees #20 prospect to the Nats #20 prospect. Martinez has not played since July 3 but was slashing .404/.507/.632 in 18 games this season in the DSL.
A Beeter ( beater ) for the bullpen !
lol!
Well S.O. Went 5 IP
Not bad
Add Amed to the list of Big Apple cross town team vets.
Beeter IS Nuke LaLoosh. His MiLB career K9 is 13, but his BB9 is 5.1. Or for those with long Nat experience, I guess the comparison is to Henry Rodriguez.
Beeter was one I had my eye on in the 2020 draft, as he had insane K numbers in college, but I was also pleased that the Nats got Cole Henry instead in the 2d round.
I have no idea why Clemmey hasn’t been promoted yet. He’s just toying with A+ hitters.
Susana looking solid, just unlucky.
Francisco Barbieri and Kelvin Diaz released from FBG
Kane, Olson, A. Feliz and Farias up to FBG.
R. Ramirez down to FCL.
Colmenares (FBG) comes off the 60-day.
I’m on the Angel Feliz bandwagon, although his SLG is down a hundred points this year from what it was in the DSL and he isn’t running nearly as much. Great for him to get his feet wet at the A level at age 18, all the more since Willits and James are about to flood that field. (Presumably Feliz is being promoted in part to make way for those guys in the FCL.)
