The Red Wings and IronPigs scored in eight of nine innings and combined for 18 runs and 24 hits, with Rochester prevailing, 10-8. Bryce Conley gave up five runs on four HRs and seven hits total over four and a 1/3rd innings. After Holden Powell walked the bases loaded, Seth Shuman cleaned up the mess with only one of three baserunners scoring to pick up the win. Robert Hassell singled twice, homered, and drove in four to extend his hit streak to seven games. Darren Baker and Nasim Nuñez also reached base three times while Nick Schnell homered twice to power the Rochester offense. Roster moves: RHP Orlando Ribalta optioned from Washington.

Harrisburg and Akron held a MAGA swap meet on the City Isle scoreboard, trading zeroes until the 8th when the RubberDucks put up two, and then added another in 9th for a 3-0 shutout. Kyle Luckham pitched into the 6th for the first time in six weeks, blanking Akron on two hits and two walks while striking out six. Garrett Davila walked two and was charged with two earned runs despite two passed balls by Raudy Read Matt Suggs when Junior Santos surrendered a triple that would have sent them in anyway. Phillip Glasser singled twice, Seaver King doubled once, and the rest of the lineup was 0-for-22 with two walks and seven whiffs. Roster moves: RHP Miguel Gomez released.

The Blue Rocks jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the 1st but the BlueClaws crawled out of the pot in the middle innings to take a 4-3 lead. Jersey Shore gave Wilmington a gift run on a balk and a two-out error, which took Travis “Sunday” Sthele off the hook after going the first seven and allowing the first four runs. Alas, Austin Amaral gave up a leadoff triple followed by a sac fly and the Blue Rocks could not answer in the 9th to lose, 5-4. T.J. White singled three times whie Jared McKenzie and Chad Lomavita both singled twice to lead the Wilmington offense.

Fredericksburg and Fayetteville traded runs in the 1st and 3rd innings until the 7th, when the FredNat got a three-spot with the help of a two-base error. The bullpen held the lead (how novel) for a 5-2 win. Liam Sullivan gave up both ‘Peckers runs on four hits over four innings, but walked none and struck out eight in his return to Low-A. Merritt Beeker held the fort for three innings to pick up the win while Johan Otanez finished the game for his second save. Christhian Vaquero posted his seventh multihit game of Jult with three singles, two runs, and a stolen base. Jorgelys Mota hit the game-winning double and also singled and stole a base to pace the FredNats offense.

The F-Nats closed out the 2025 campaign with another loss to the F-Astros, 7-5. Jose Feliz went the first three, giving up an unearned run on three hits and a walk and striking out one. Darrel Lunar was pounded for five runs on four hits (one HR) and two walks with three K’s. Donta’ Williams singled, tripled, scored a run, and Elian Soto homered to power the FCL Nationals offense. Roster moves: 2025 Draft picks RHP Landon Harmon (3rd Rd.), SS Coy James (5th), 1B Juan Cruz (20th) assigned from Washington.

The DSL Nationals barely avoided the shutout in a 2-1 loss to the DSL Tigers 2 team. Jean Robles gave up the first run on three hits and three walks over three and a 1/3rd innings. He struck out two. Juan Lopz finished the game, allowing a solo HR and three hits total while walking two and strking out five. Jonierbis Garces had the D-Nats’ sole extra-base hit (a double) while Angel Requena broke up the shutout with an RBI groundout in the 5th.

Random thought: with 4 BB in 117 PA at the Major League Level, I wish Brady House had learned to take a walk in AAA.

Luckham had a no hitter for 5.1 innings. Sens got first two batters on base in the 9th and that’s where they stayed.
Weird release for Gomez, who was promoted earlier this year, had decent numbers, and was only 23. I wonder if its an “off the field” reason.
