Good, Bad, Interesting… 2021 Final
Our final look at the leaders, trailers, and outliers in the Washington Nationals minor leagues. Repeats from 2019 are in italics
PLEASE NOTE: This format discriminates against multi-level players who were good, guys who were injured, and guys who were traded away. I try to factor in age relative to the level when possible – harder this time ’round with a year’s layoff, fewer draft picks, and one less level – which is usually High-A and lower, so before you “What about______?” look up his age and how many seasons he’s played the level. Finally, it’s also worth noting that one year’s “good” can be next year’s “bad” and vice-versa.

Must have been quite a challenge coming up with the “goods” at some levels (looking at you, FNats arms!). Likewise, for the “bads”, with so many to choose from (looking at you, DSL bats)!
Can only do “throw a dart” so many times…
Lulu lives!
Here’s a list of the “G’s” and “I’s” from previous seasons (when listed) for AAA and AA . Lots of familiar names here, and a few I’ve forgotten about. Interesting that Paolo Espino was in the “I” category twice when he was in the Nats org years ago. There’s also a couple of people (Richard Bleier, Phillips Valdez) who didn’t pitch for the Nats put pitched for other teams in MLB.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to Jacob Condra Bogan??
I believe he retired.
He quietly retired after spring training. He seems to be doing well in retirement though. It helps that he has a wife and young child.
