Ouch on Voth’s AA start. I wonder if that increased the chances that the Nats will move him to the 60-day to clear a roster spot rather than bringing him up for Sept.

Excellent finish to the season as a starter by Teel. He’s a somewhat out-of-nowhere surprise this season.

No. 32 for Yaddy. Does anyone know what the Nat system record is? I know that Tyler Moore hit 31 back to back in 2010 and 2011, but someone may have hit more sometime between 2005 and 2009.

Was thinking the same thing that Yaddy may have set the Nats’ minor league record for HRs in a season (32). Moore and Brandon Snyder (this year with 30) are the only others that I can recall hitting 30+ in a minor league season. Harper minor league max was 22, MAT 23, Souza 23, Marrero (23) are the only other Nats prospects that I could think of that could’ve approached 30, and none got close to 32 in one season.

Even in the exceptionally hitter friendly PCL, Yaddy deserves praise. Kudos!

Andy Tracy hit 37 for HBG in 1999, but that was when Montreal was the parent club.

I believe the record is 46 by Ken Phelps in 1982

Denver for Phelps . Was McKeon manager or Felipe Alou??

Good to see Grissom guy move up – Monte Karlo S- and Pedro Gonzo.
Third cup of coffee in Dublin here… good afternoon guys.
How does beef stew cooked in real Guinness sound for lunch ?
Sample poll question. : how many games over .500 the Nats big boys finish over??

Zach Walters exploded for 29 homers at Syracuse in 2013 (with only a .286 OBP, truly an heir for Danny the K). The Nats traded him at the deadline the next season for Asdrubal Cabrera.

Okay, Sao, you made me look.
Karlo Seijas was signed in the summer of 2017 out of Venezuela. He turns 19 in September and was terrific this year in the GCL. It looks hike he’ll get to pitch at least once for Auburn before heading to the Instruxs.

I believe Seijas was our top-rated international signing that period, although not especially high-ranked overall. Had some Felix Hernandez comps pinned on him.

Michael Taylor hit 4 doubles last night? That would be the Nats team record for one game on the MLB level, and to the extent that the stat is kept, that could be the Nats organizational record. He has been on a roll lately, batting .382 with 9 EBHs in his last 34 ABs, with only 5 Ks!

With Matt Grace designated for assignment today and Austen Williams still pending a move to the 60-day IL, it sure looks like both Greg Holland and Aaron Barrett will rejoin the Nationals next month.

What do we contribute to seeing Copeland and Hoover having some QS as the season winds down ??
Hmmmm a rather good bullpen outing by big club guys. Hudson has been used this week often do his BS is understandable.
Anyone have a take on Urina being slid to the Zfish pen after a promising career start??
