I won’t be able to make WPB this March but would somebody hoofing to the B fields check out some of the DSL kids 18 especially Andry and B Fernandez ( phonetically spell Braian’s name please ) for us working junkies ???
Goeddel should be a F trooper for Knorr
With all due respect to Fresno , that California region , but I think about Boog Powell in a documentary commenting about playing for the Indians in an all off red uniform : ” I felt like a Bloody Mary !” Those deep deep red pants with the red elsewhere is rather extreme ?? Especially for those players who like to get dirty sliding and laying out for great catches ??
Fresno is a deep red enclave in a blue state … I’d expect to see MAGA hats next …
“Deep red”? Fresno County hasn’t voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 2004.
Just like giving Fresno a hard time … still, there is Devin Nunes? And there were votes for Roseanne Barr.
True. We are discussing uniforms colors
I was more leaning towards Chinese workers hats hats …
Muddy red pants will look uwelcome to the Fresno dry cleaners after a long night game
Muddy? Dusty more likely … but I guess they to wet down that hard clay field?
Hellickson signed to MLB deal, so a 40-man cut is coming. I would nominate Severino as the most likely target. He’s getting DFA’d sooner or later, as he has no options left and won’t be on the MLB squad. I don’t think he has much trade value, and as bad as he was at the MLB level last year, he may clear waivers. We’ll see.
Unless they deal Taylor and Barraclough first … guess we’ll see …
One can see a deal coming. Severino and an arm ??
I think it’ll be Gott. DFAs for 40-man guys who weren’t given a September cup of coffee even though they are out of options and got a little playing time earlier in the season (see also “Reynolds, Matt”).
The Orioles sign old Nats farmhand and MLBer for a cup of coffee — Nate Karns. Good spot for him. Already can predict that he will have his best outing as an Orioles when Karns faces his former organization.
…then get shelled in his next. Or go on the DL.
Or … moles….
All of those injuries!! And shoulder injuries from the get to! How does he do it?
I’ll bet Gott is claimed off waivers. Then DFA’d again and then claimed off waivers again. And then probably DFA’d again and claimed off waivers by the first team.
Repeat that sequence again ? Lol
Time will tell, BUT where should we see Raffie Bautista open up in April 19 with his healing knee?
Fresno. The weather will be decidedly better for that … well unless they travel to the Northwest in April? I don’t know their schedule.
They make two trips to Tacoma — one in May, one in August. They don’t play either Memphis or Nashville in Tennessee and only play New Orleans in Louisiana once (June 4-6). The vast majority of their schedule will be played west of New Mexico.
Thanks.
Summer comes later in Nor Cal
Luke you are correct I reminding us that guys. Repeating upper levels will compress talent depth especially in each affiliate beneath. Look at the bullpen possibilities from 40 to AAAto AA to A plus
Thanks Luke.
