Well, the Nats AFL representatives have basically pitched as expected:
Bacus: 5.23 ERA
Williams: 10.67 ERA
McGowin: 4.79 ERA
The only exception being Cordero, who was surprisingly effective: 1.50 ERA, but more importantly only 2 BB in 12 IP.
Despite the very obvious SSS, I’m intrigued by what Cordero has done. With someone with the talent he has, you always hope that some pitching coach along the line will have the magic piece of advice that flips the switch.
Conversely, the future isn’t looking bright for Williams. He’s failed two seasons in a row to stick at AA, and now this. The Nats sure have given him every chance, so they must see something in him. I’ve read here and there that he’s always been one of the team-leader types.
Noticed on Reno aces roster. : Tony Renda 3 b but for ole expo fans
Pitching coach Gil Heredia and Mike Lansing coach.
Is Austen Williams working on a new pitch.
Interesting to see how brass fills the holes on Syracuse and Harrisburg
In next few months .
