Rizzo should sign Christian Friedrich to see what he can lend to an affiliate .
I’m beginning to think that we should pay attention to the time Gutierrez is getting at 1B. In AZ, it’s a way to get him on the field at the same time as Neuse. For the Nats, it would be a way to get him on the field at Harrisburg with Drew Ward. That said, judging by the perpetual questionable reports about Ward’s defense, maybe he’d be the one who moves to 1B instead of Gutierrez.
At either 3B or 1B, Gutierrez is still going to have to find a way to get the ball out of the park more often to be legitimately considered for an MLB role.
Major duh. Kelvin G and Mario Lisson in same lineup with Gushue hitting RH.
I’m a day late on this but want to say I agree completely on KW’s comment on Rich Mirowski.
Never understood his release at the time; I’m sure there was some backstory we are never privy to. Maybe just injury woes but he was a pleasant surprise for a few years.
Much to young to die.
