Nestled in Western Georgia about 75 miles northwest of Atlanta, Rome is the first small city (pop. ~38K) over the GA/AL line.
Originally named State Mutual Stadium upon its opening 2003, the name was changed in 2022 to AdventHealth Stadium.
The field dimensions were mirrored after the Braves’ Turner Field, which is frequently cited for its pitcher-friendly though its location in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains no doubt is also a factor.
The design of the stadium itself is very similar to the Legends Field in Lexington, KY ballpark, albeit on a much smaller scale – ~5,000 seats vs. ~10,000 seats.
