As you might have guessed, this feature got bumped with the slew o’ news this week. The Dominican Winter League regular season ended this week, the Venezuelan League wraps up next Friday, and the Mexican League finishes the first week of January.
Hope this finds everyone well as they hide from their families take a break from their holiday festivities.
Solis winter update courtesy of Pete Kerzel:
No update on pitching prospect Sammy Solis’ sore left elbow, mainly because Solis has been sidelined with a case of strep throat. Solis has been examined by team doctors and Dr. Lewis Yokum in Los Angeles. Once he’s over the strep throat, the medical personnel will make another run at determining what’s causing the elbow soreness. Solis experienced the elbow problem at the end of the Arizona Fall League season.
We can only hope that there is no correlation between Solis’s health and the GG trade, but I’m professionally trained to be a cynic (“Even if your mother says she loves you, check it out”)
Sue_D: Good holidays to you and yours. As always, your efforts are greatly appreciated by this seamhead. Thanks.
