The Red Wings homered three times in the first four innings to build a 7-0 lead and cruised to a 10-3 win over the (ugh) Woo Sox. Chandler Champlain
notched his sixth win and his sixth quality start with six innings of one-run ball on one hit and two walks while striking out three. Yoyo Morales was the beer man on a 13-hit parade, led by Trey Lipscomb with two singles and a two-run homer. Harry Ford and Brady House hit solo shots while Cayden Wallace’s second AAA big fly was a grand slam.

Harrisburg panhandled at the plate and came away with just six singles in a 6-0 shutout loss to Erie. Josh Randall gave up all six SeaWolves runs on six hits (two HR) and four walks for his third AA loss. Kerin Pichardo (single, walk) and Devin Fitz-Gerald (single, HBP) were the only two Senators to reach base twice. Johnathon Thomas made out the third out in the two (2) times Harrisburg got a runner into scoring position as the Sens left on eight baserunners.

The Blue Rocks were walked off in the 9th on a one-out single for a 2-1 loss – their third straight to the Cyclones. Bryan Polanco went the first five and let in the first Brooklyn run on three hits and two walks. He struck out two. Jacob Roberts hit the first batter he faced in the 9th, then gave up a pair of singles with a strikeout in between to get the “L.” Miguel Villarroel reached base three times on a homer, walk, and a single while Kevin Bazzell had two safeties and Jack Moroknek doubled to highlight Wilmington’s offense. Roster moves: RHP Xander Meckley reassigned from Fredericksburg.

Fredericksburg erased a 5-1 deficit with scores in the 5th, 6th, and 7th innings to take a 7-5 lead. Alas, Ike Buxton coughed up a three-run HR to give the Pelicans an 8-7 win and a blown-save-loss. Liam Sullivan’s reversion to the mean continued with another more-runs-than-innings appearance, as the 24-y.o. gav up four runs on six hits over the first three innings. Dashyll Tejeda reached base three times, on a double and two walks, twice scoring ahead of a Brady Cerkownyk single while Hunter Hines and Luke Dickerson both went deep to pace the FredNats attack. Roster moves: LHP Merritt Beeker activated from the 60-day I.L.; LHP Jared Beck released.

In what amounted to a two-and-half inning “game,” the F-Nats picked up where they left off on June 24 and added four more runs for a 12-2 win. Juan Reyes was perfect for three innings to earn the save while striking out six. As noted yesterday, the regularly scheduled game was canceled. The loss dropped the FCL Nationals tragic number to one.

The DSL Nationals homered twice to make this look A LOT closer than it was in a 9-3 romp by the DSL Twins. Jhoan Thomas went the first two and gave up two runs on a hit and five walks. Aldemaro Sevilla lost for the third time as he was blasted for five runs on four hits and three walks over the next two frames. Both pitchers struck out two. Isaias Suarez hit a solo HR in he bottom of the 1st wheile Rony Bello hit a two-run HR two batters later for a 3-2 D-Nats lead that went buh-bye with seven unanswered runs.
