FCL Cardinals 12 FCL Nationals 5
• Bothwell (L, 2-3) 2+ IP, 9H, 11R, 10ER, 3BB, 4K, WP
• Figueroa ⅔ IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 0K, 2-0 IR-S
• German 1-3, R, BB, RBI, E(5)
• N. De La Cruz 1-3, BB
• B. Martinez 1-2, BB, 2RBI, HBP
Ty Bothwell left the game after 2/3rds of an inning in 1st after giving up four runs and re-entered in the 2nd and was finally lifted with one out in the 3rd. It’s unclear why the soon-to-be-a-free-agent-or-retired 26-y.o. was left in to get stomped on like a narc at a biker rally, but the net result is the F-Nats were unable to climb out of the 12-0 hole and lost, 12-5. Marconi German and Nauris De La Cruz were the only two FCL Nationals to reach base mulitple times. Roster moves: LHP Kai Peterson assigned from Washington; OF Cristhian Vaquero assigned from Wilmington for MiLB rehab.
DSL Nationals 7 DSL Mets Orange 1
• M. Medina 4IP, 2H, 1R, 0ER, 2BB, 4K,
• Sarit (W, 2-1) 4⅔ IP, 1H, 0R, 2BB, 2K, HBP, BK
• Serrano 3-4, 2R, BB, 2B, 3B, RBI

The DSL Nationals got back in the win column with a decisive 7-1 win over the DSL Mets Orange. Maximin Medina went the first four and allowed the unearned run on two hits and two walks. Ranger Sarit fell an out short of finishing the game but earned the win with one, two walks, and a hit batsman. Samil Serrano was a home run shy of the cycle and also walkd, scored two runs, and drove in run while Juan Duran went 2-for-4 with two doubles to lead the D-Nats attack.
Ty Bothwell all the best in your career if you return to Bloomington and help out that Baseball program
Huuuuge series for Delino Seniors. Sens

Greetings from 57 F SF area @ 4:22 am Luke and fellow seam heads !
Was Bothwell released? Quite a career to make it to the minors, after sporting an almost 6 ERA in Indy ball.
We aren’t exactly recruiting talent with all these MLFA signings. J. Lara clearing waivers is another sign that we’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel with these guys. I see a few more relievers on the 40 man who’d pass through waivers if they’d wouldnt opt for free agency.
That’s just me making a not-so-bold prediction, as Occam’s Razor suggests the only reasonable explanation for letting a player that old and unaccomplished get hung out to dry is that they’re about to pull the plug.
Cristhian Vaquero rises from the dead. Is his “rehab” actually rehab? Or is he rehabbing his .538 OPS, in an org overstocked with OFs in A ball?
