Worcecster 10 Rochester 5
• Lara 4⅓ IP, 5H, 3R, 3ER, 3BB, 4K, 2HR
• Tolman (BS, 2; L, 0-2) 3BF, 3H, 3R, 3ER, 0K, 0BB, WP

• Morales 1-3, R, BB

The Red Wings ‘pen collapsed in the 7th, turning a 5-3 lead into an 8-5 deficit as the (ugh) Woo Sox doubled up the Nats AAA affiliate, 10-5. Andry Lara, the reigning I.L. Pitcher of the Week, got knocked from the box with one out in the 5th with three runs let in on five hits (two HR) and three walks. He struck out four. Erik Tolman served up a triple-single-double combo with a side of wild pitch before Eddie Yean handed off his beer and doused the fire with two hits, a walk, and a balk before getting out of the inning. Abimelec Ortiz drove in four of the five Rochester runs with a double and homer while Dylan Crews singled and doubled to extend his hit streak to five games. Roster moves: IF Zach Short traded to Detroit for cash; RHP Shawn Dubin assigned from Washington.

Akron 3 Harrisburg 2 (10 inn.)
• Ogasawara 6IP, 5H, 1R, 1ER, 1BB, 8K
• L. Young 2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 2K

• Lomavita 2-4, 2B(5)
• King 2-5, R

Harrisburg trailed for seven innings until Cayden Wallace doubled in Seaver King and took a 2-1 lead in the 10th on Kervin Pichardo’s two-out single. Alas, Marquis Grissom retired just one of four batters faced on a sacrifice as he walked two and gave up two unearned runs on a Texas Leaguer, with the gamewinner scoring on a Sam Petersen overthrow of second. Shinnosuke Ogasawara turned in his first quality start with one run let in on five hits and a walk while striking out eight. Chad Lomavita singled and doubled while King singled twice to lead the Sens hit column.

Wilmington 7 Asheville 6 (12 inn.)
• Y. Tejeda 5⅓ IP, 4H, 3R, 3ER, 4BB, 5K, HBP, WP
• Boucher (BS, 2) ⅔ IP, 1H, 1R, 1ER, 2BB, 2K, HR, 2-2 IR-S
• Baldo (W, 2-2) 1IP, 1H, 1R, 0ER, 0BB, 0K
• Fitz-Gerald 2-5, 2R, BB,
• Green 2-6, 3B, 2RBI, 3K(55)
• A. Feliz 2-6, R, 2B, 2RBI, 2K

The Blue Rocks ‘pen got the same memo as the Sens and Red Wings, blowing a 4-0 lead to force extras. However, Wilmington’s batters did not, as they scored three runs in three extra innings to send the Tourists packing, 7-6. Yoel Tejada pitched into the 6th for the fist time, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks. He hit a batter and struck out five. Adam Boucher let in both inherited runners plus two of his own on a three-run homer to blow his second save. Brady Hill and Merrick Baldo both let in the free runner once, but the offense bailed them out twice, with Elijah Green’s third non-strikeout plating the winning run in the 12th.

Fredericksburg 8 Hickory 1
• Fischer (W, 2-0) 6IP, 5H, 0R, 1BB, 3K
• Minckler 2IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 4K
• J. Cruz 2-4, R, HR, 3RBI
• James 2-4, R, SB, E
• Dickerson 2-5, RBI, CS

Fredericksburg pushed its win streak to seven with a no-doubt, 8-1 felling of Hickory. Carson Fischer picked up his second win and first quality start with six shutout innings and five hits, one walk, and three whiffs. It was a MAGA-MAHA debate until the 5th when the FredNats put up three to break the 0-0 tie, capped by a two-run HR by Eli Willits. Juan Cruz also homered and singled while Coy James and Luke Dickerson both singled twice to lead the Fredericksburg offense.

Interesting story with Carson Fischer who was born in Grand Rapids Michigan who did not go to UM Wolverines to Miami Hurticanes. He must have liked the warmer climate to develop his career trajectory .
Eli sure doing the tabkesetting role to the tee .
Well at least Lara lasted into the fifth . Next start will be telling based on the NE weather in six days or seven
