Syracuse – ALL-STAR BREAK
Andrew Stevenson came off the bench and grounded into a double play (he was representing Syracuse, after all) and made one put out on defense as the IL lost to the PCL, 6-4.

John Simms pitched a scoreless 1st, Ryan Brinley got three outs across the 7th and 8th innings, and Raudy Read and Jose Marmolejos both went hitless in the Eastern League All-Star Game, which Eastern Division won, 7-1.

The P-Nats returned to action, but not with the bats as the Red Sox shut them out on four hits, 6-0. Hector Silvestre took the loss as he gave up three runs on six hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out two. Edwin Lora was the sole Potomac batter to reach base twice, going 2-for-3 with a double. Roster moves: OF Victor Robles activated from the 3-Day TIL; C Jakson Reetz reassigned from Hagerstown; C Matt Reistetter placed on the 7-Day DL.

The Riverdogs got three in 1st and three in the 2nd as they doubled up the Suns, 6-3 in the series opener. James Borque recovered to go seven innings, allowing all six Charleston runs (four earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out two. A.J. Bogcki closed it out with two scorelss innings. Sheldon Neuse singled once, doubled twice, scored once, and drove in a run to lead the Hagerstown offense. Roster moves: LHP McKenize Mills placed on the 3-Day TIL; RHP Jacob Howell placed on the 7-Day DL; C Adderling Ruiz activated from the 7-Day DL; RHP Francisco Rodrigruez reassigned from Potomac.

Aberdeen took advantage of three Auburn errors to score six unearned runs in the middle innings as they turned a 3-2 lead into a 10-3 demolition of Auburn. Austin Voth was dinged for three runs in the first and four hits total over two rehab innings. He walked one and struck out two and was charged with the loss. Chance Shepard walked, singled, and scored twice while Jonathan pryor doubled twice and drove in a run to pace the Doubledays’ attack. Roster move: RHP Austin Voth assigned from Syracuse for MiLB rehab.

GCL Nationals 1 GCL Mets 1
Rain presumably halted this with one out in the 2nd after both rehabbers Tim Collins and Joan Baez had gotten two outs. They’ll resume play and finish this on the 17th.
