The Red Wings scored six runs in the late innings. They needed seven. An 8-7 loss to the (ugh) Woo Sox was their fourth straight. Jackson Kent gave up all eight runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings. Five batters had multiple hits in the 13-hit, four-walk offensd, led by Andrew Pinckney with three singles and two runs scored while Phillip Glasser amd Harry Ford both walked twice. Roster moves: RHP Cole Henry optioned from Washington; RHP Eddy Yean optioned from Washington.

With seven strong innings from Riley Maddox and a three-hit night frokm newcome Devin Ortiz, Harrisburg extended its win streak to four with an 8-3 decision over Erie. Maddox won his first AA game with one run let in on four hits and a walk while striking out two. Ortiz singled twice, scored three times, and drove in three, including a two-run HR. Johnathon Thomas also reached base three times on a single, walk, and a triple as the Sens marched to an 11-hit parade with three walks and steals by Ortiz and Thomas. Pay no attention to the 13 batting K’s.Roster moves: OF Leandro Pineda, RHP Marquis Grissom, Jr. placed on Development List; RHP Luke Young reassigned from Rochester; IF Devin Ortiz assigned from Washington (MLFA).

Brooklyn 11 Wilmington 2

The Blue Rocks did not get a baserunner until the 7th or a hit until the 9th in an 11-2 loss to the Cyclones. Mike Tepper went the first four and gave up four runs on four hits (two HR) and three walks while striking out seven. He would take the loss. Eli Willits broke up the perfect game with a leadoff walk in the 7th. Miguel Villarroel stopped the no-hitter with a two-out triple, which was followed by another Willits walk. Ronny Cruz drove them both home with another triple to end the shutout. The rest of the lineup went 0-for-19 with a walk. Roster moves: OF Elijah Nunez activated from Developmental List.



Fredericksburg 6 Myrtle Beach 3

The FredNats broke out for four runs on back-to-back HRs in the 5th by Hunter Hines and Juan Cruz to open up a 1-0 game and cruised to a 6-3 win that stopped a four-game slide. Travis “Sunday” Sthele turned in three more scoreless innings with three hits, two walks, and five K’s. Leuris Portorreal picked up the win, though he gave up all three Pelicans runs on five hits over four and a 1/3rd innings. Gavin Fien reached base four times on three singles and a a walk while Luke Dickerson got aboard three times on two singles and a walk to lead the Fredericksburg offense.

Three F-Nats pitchers combined to shut out the F-Mets, 8-0 on three hits in a seven-inning game. Noah Millikan went the first five and allowed two hits, one walk, one hit batsman, and nine whiffs to pick up his first win in three starts amd second win overall. Nauris De La Cruz singled twice, scored twice, tripled, drove in a run, and stole his 19th base. Eyeksson Rojas singled, doubled, scored twice, and stole home plate on a double steal with De La Cruz.

DSL Nationals 8 DSL Marlins 5

The DSL Nationals couldn’t hold a 4-2 lead after three “ups” and reverted to the mean with an 8-5 loss to the DSL Marlins. Enmanuel Carela gave up two runs on two hits (one HR) and a walk over the first two, but the loss went to Christopher Navas with one out, one HR, three walks, a balk, a hit batsman, and two wild pitches. Samil Serrano doubled, walked, scored twice, and stole a base while Isaias Suarez and Rayniel Lache both homered; all three are 17 years old.
