Wilmington Blue Rocks, 26-24, 3rd Sally Lg. North, 6½ GB
Wilmington is on a three-game losing streak, havnge been shut out twice while losing four of six to Brooklyn. There are reports that Miguel Sime Jr. will be promoted from Fredericksburg this week, which would have him pitching on Friday. No corresponding moves have been mentioned. This week, the Hot Rods cruise into the tax dodg…er, Delaware for the lone series the two teams will play in the regular season.
Fredericksburg Nationals, 37-14, 1st C.L. North, 11GA
The FredNats’ latest win streak is five games and has Washington’s low-A affiliate up 11 games with 18 left to play in the first half. The magic number to clinch the division is down to five. Since the Nationals relocated from Montreal in 2005, the most games won by an affiliate on the half system was 44 by the 2014 Hagerstown Suns. This week, third-place Hill City comes to town for five night games and a day game on Sunday.

I’m sitting in Orlando in one of the four Cracker Barrel’s with the new white farmhouse house interior redo
They shrunk the biscuits !!
Sime in Wilmington you say , Luke ?
Hummmm , baby crosses the Deleware !
Good call on the 2014 Suns. That team has several future MLBers.
Rotation of Giolito, Pivetta, Austin Voth and Reynaldo Lopez… Also, flame-out Jake Johansen. The best offensive player was Wimer Difo. FWIW, Difo is still chasing the dream at age 34 for the Long Island Ducks.
the Hot Rods have some talent in the starting rotation. while I’ve been expecting promotions for Fitz-Gerald and Petry one more week won’t hurt anything. Sime joining the team will get all the headlines but I’ll be watching the how the bats do.
