Lehigh Valley 6 Rochester 3
• Gott 1⅔ IP, 3H, 3R, 3ER, 1BB, 1K, HR
• Powell 3⅓ IP, 5H, 1R, 1ER, 0BB, 6K
• Morales 2-4, 2R, BB, 2B, 2K, SB
• Pinckney 2-5, 2B(5), RBI
• 2-13 RISP, 12 LOB

With the Nats playing the upstate NY shuffle Forrest Gump pause again it was a bullpen night for Rochester. Like the big club, they were not up to the task as opener Trevor Gott coughed up three after the Red Wings got two. After tying the game at 3-3 in the 3rd, Holden Powell gave up the go-ahead run and was charged with the loss as the IronPigs ‘pen did their job and turned the Rochester offense into beat cops and fed them six donuts the rest of the night. Yoyo Morales extended his hit streak to six and reached base three times on a double, walk, and a single while Andrew Pinckney singled, doubled, and drove in the final Red Wings run. Roster moves: RHP Holden Powell reassigned from Harrisburg; RHP Zak Kent optioned from Washington; RHP Julian Fernández placed on 7-day I.L.

Harrisburg 3 Altoona 1 – GM. 1
• Luckham (W, 3-2) 5⅔ IP, 7H, 1R, 1ER, 3BB, 2K
• Cranz (SV, 1) 1⅓ IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 1K
• Thomas 2-3, SB(10)
• Wallace 1-3, R, HR, SF, 2RBI

The Senators got two in the 3rd on an RBI single by Seaver King and a sac fly by Cayden Wallace, who drove in the third run with a solo HR in the 7th as Harrisburg took the opener, 3-1. Kyle Luckham weathered three doubles and four singles and walked three but allowed only one run in five and 2/3rds to win his third game. Robert Cranz gave up two doubles but neither came home as he got the last four outs to earn his first AA save. Johnathon Thomas singled twice and stole his tenth base to lead the Harrisburg hit column of five.

Altoona 2 Harrisburg 0 – GM. 2
• Van Scoyoc 4IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 2K
• T. Schultz 2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 1K
• Dean 1IP, 1H, 2R, 2ER, 1BB, 3K, HR, HBP, 2WP
• Pineda 2-3
• Hayes 1-2, BB

In the nightcap (a makeup of last month’s rainout at City Isle), it was a MAGA-MAHA debate on the Altoona scoreboard until the Curve took newcomer Noah Dean deep for a two-run HR that split the doubleheader, 2-0. Connor Van Scoyoc went the first four innings in his second spot start, allowing one and one walks while fanning two. Dean walked the leadoff batter then gave up the game-winner but struck out the side. Harrisburg got the tying runs on with nobody out in the bottom of the 7th (see previous parenthetical) and into scoring position after a pair of K’s and a two-out single but Johnathon Thomas fanned to end it. Roster moves: OF Jack Rogers activated from 7-Day I.L.; RHP Marquis Grissom Jr. placed on 7-day I.L.; LHP Noah Dean reassigned from the FCL.

Winston-Salem 3 Wilmington 2
• Lyon (L, 0-1) 4⅔ IP, 4H, 2R, 1ER, 1BB, 7K, HBP
• Bruni 3⅓ IP, 5H, 1R, 1ER, 1BB, 6K
• A. Feliz 2-3, R, BB, HR, RBI, SB, E
• Petry 1-4, R, HR, RBI

Winston-Salem got a gift run on an Angel Feliz error in the 4th and that proved to be the difference in a 3-2 loss for Wilmington. Isaac Lyon allowed both Dash runs on four hits and a walk in four and 2/3 innings to take his first loss. He walked one, hit a batter, and struck out seven. Feliz more than made up for his error, reaching base three times on a walk, single, and a homer while stealing his 12th base. Ethan Petry went deep in the 9th to round out the Blue Rocks run total. Roster moves: IF Gavin Dugas activated from the 7-Day I.L.

Salem 6 Fredericksburg 3
• Portorreal 2IP, 1H, 0R, 3BB, 2K, 48-24 PIT-K
• Sullivan (L, 1-1) 1⅔ IP, 1H, 1R, 1ER, 3BB, 3K, HR
• James 2-4, R, 3B, RBI
• Moroknek 2-4, 2B(5), RBI

The FredNats were able to cut into a 4-0 deficit with one in the 7th and two in the 8th, but couldn’t outhit the bullpen’s ineffectiveness as they were doubled up, 6-3. Leuris Portorreal was somehow the starter again and labored through two innings, keeping the RidgeYaks off the board but putting on four baserunners while throwing 48 pitches to get six outs. Liam Sullivan gave up a HR and walked three over an inning and 2/3rds, which was enough to wear the “L.” Coy James and Jack Moroknek combined to go 4-for-8 with double (Moroknek) and a triple (James) and two RBI to lead the Fredericksburg offense.

FCL Astros 6 FCL Nationals 5
• Henry 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Reyes 2⅔ IP, 0H, 0R, ER, 3BB, 2K
• Shortridge(BS, 2; L, 0-1) 1IP, 1H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 1K, 2BK, 3-3 IR-S
• Hurtado 2-2, 2R, 2BB, 2HR, 2RBI, SB
• German 1-3, R, 3B, 2RBI
• F. Tavarez 2-2, R, BB, 2B, SB

The FCL Nationals built a 5-0 lead after four, which was too small for the ‘pen to hold as they coughed up another, 6-5 to the FCL Astros. Cole Henry worked the 1st and struck out the side as the opener. Juan Reyes worked the next two and 2/3rds, walking three, ands striking out tow but giving up no hits and no runs. Aaron Shortridge blew his second save and took his first loss as he let in all three inherited runnres in the 6th—twice on balks—and two of his own as he retired just three of six batter faced, walked two and struck out one. Victor Hurtado walked twice, homered twice, and a stole a base while Feldi Tavarez singled, walked, doubled, and stole a base to lead the F-Nats offense.
