will be watching Clemmey tonight for progress. a twenty yr old in AA getting over 12 Ks and giving up less than 6 hits per 9 gets the advantage of some patience. the velocity drop appears to be intentional as they work to refine his delivery.

    go get’em kid!

On the surface Jake Bennett’s numbers look elite, and some of them are, 3 BBs in 21 innings is crazy good (particularly compared some of the free pass issues that plagues almost all Nats’ pitchers), but Bennett has also been incredibly fortunate so far. His K rate is actually down this season — 6.9 per nine. Also, Bennett’s BABIP is an unsustainable .162.

Bennett v. Perales seems like the classic high floor v. high ceiling case.

A major shout out to Meckley who beneath the surface continues his maturity .
A subject matter not being discussed :
      The Grand Canyon. Versus
      Wilmington hitters .
The Young Turks “ program “ seems to be resonating with some and others ( as Don Rickles would say ) — ehhh?
