Offseason Update: Feb. 19, 2026
Here’s the obligatory post to let the search engines know the site’s still running.
Unfortunately, that’s as good as the news gets.
Over the weekend, Rascal took a turn for the worse and crossed over the 🌈 bridge. He was perhaps 9 or 10 years old.
If it seems like it wasn’t that long ago that we got him, it’s because it wasn’t.
We only had him for a short time and we knew our time with him would be shorter than we wanted. But that’s true of every dog we’ve ever had, whether it was 14 months or 14 years.
He really loved car rides, so this is how I picture him wherever he is now.
As hard as this has been, we don’t regret adopting a senior dog. And, when the time is right, we’ll do it again. It might not be a bulldog, but when we see him or her, we’ll know.
Just a couple more days until we have something other than Top 100 lists or who’s in the best shape of their lives to talk about…
Sorry for your loss, Luke
Luke, so sorry for your loss. may the memories of the days of joy he provided bring you comfort
Sorry for your loss Luke. You’re still doing God’s work giving a loving home and a good life to these little guys.
Luke, sorry for your loss.
This is always such a hard hit
While your time with him was short, you were able to give him a very happy last year of his life. I’m sure he’s eternally riding around in a car with Spike and all his other brothers and sisters that came before him.
