The FCL Nationals blew a 2-1 lead and reduced their tragic number to two with a 3-2 loss to the FCL Astros. Leuris Portorreal gave up a two-run HR and four hits total over four innings while walking two and striking out two. After leaving the bases loaded in the 6th, Tommy Kane walked the leadoff batter, wild-pitched him to second and third, issued two intentional passes to set up a double, struck out a batter, and then… walked a fourth batter to lose the game. Jamison Jone homered while Rafael Ramirez and Feldi Tavarez both walked and singled to lead the F-Nats three-hit, four-walk assault.
Realize it way early and there are many levels to go, but Sir Jamison Jones is putting together a solid first season for a 2024 15th round HS draft pick. He has some pop, takes his BBs and has held his own behind the plate. Not saying the Nats found their next MLB catcher, but it’s nice to see a HS position player prospect off to a decent first year start to his pro career.
BTW, he also has an exceptionally cool name, which doesn’t hurt.
Four HRs in the complex ball parks is a good indicator for Sir Jameson ( on the rocks !) to elevate those numbers in higher affiliate ballparks up the ladder .
Rony Bello further up the affiliate chain as his walk up hook should. Be
Just like Ronnie sang from Eddie Moneys Take Me Home tonight
Angel Feliz last name takes me back to a club / bar in the 80 s and 90 s in the Cinn- tucky area called
Dee Feliz
I had an uncle who played in a Jazz band in that joint where the food was good
The bar was well stocked
And the band played on Elevated stand above behind the bar .
One can still hear my uncles tenor sax play in that memory
Baseball America reported that the Nats have signed one NDFA, and he has quite the background.
Jordan Williams CF and leadoff hitter for Tampa University. Tampa won their 2nd consecutive D2 title this past year and William slashed: .352/.446/.561/1.007. Oh yeah, he also stole 81 bases.
This past season was Williams’ 5th year of college baseball. Two JUCO years at San Jacinto in TX; two years at Florida State (kind of crazy; Williams hit .437 and had .563 OBP at FSU, but only had 32 PAs. FSU seemed to use him as a pinch runner as Williams had 15 steals in very limited play.
Williams has also played in the MLB Draft League twice (as far back as 2022) and the Cape League in 2024.
He is 25 years-old, and his dad, Reggie Williams played parts of 4 MLB seasons for the Angels.
Jordan Williams age makes him non-prospect, but good to see that he is finally getting a chance.
The Nats guys might have seen him at FSU during their scouting trek in other guys especially Tejada Jr .
And checking out Arnold
Johnathon Thomas but with a bit more pop? OK, I see that his SLG got a significant boost from seven triples. He had a really good 14.5% Ks. Here are Williams’s stats:

He should be fun to watch if nothing else.
