There’s a podcast I want to recommend. Over the weekend the Nats Insider podcast had an interview with Jim Callis, longtime BA insider who’s now with MLB. There’s no one more expert on the minors and he goes in to details about the Nats in the system.
A link:

Interestingly, the YouTube video is 9+ minutes but the podcast interview ran 15-16 minutes.
I misspoke, the Jim Callis interview on the podcast runs 27 minutes.
thanks for the heads up on this, we can only hope the Nats get out from under the thumb of MASN under new ownership so we can see more coverage like this.
good to hear his optimism on the Soto bounty but I’m not sure what else anyone would expect to hear given their prospect rankings. throw in Green, House and the handful of current prospects having good seasons and 2023 could be a fun ride here on National Prospects.
Much like a good stew there are more ingredients to add in the 2023 draft and the intl signing shopping spree.
Yes Hassel has a stature in the box remindful of ole 34.
Greetings From 34,000 feet over the Sierra Nevadas out of Reno
Beautful sunset over the Aces stadium downtown last night !
He was not really high on House, saying he was not driving the ball but conditioned that at 18 things can improve very fast.
He was very high on T.J. White and came up with plausible reasons why he and Jared McKenzie dropped all the way to the 5th round.
McKenzie’s BA at Baylor dropped 95 points between ’21 and ’22, and his K’s almost doubled. He also hit .226 in the summer wood bat league. The Nats took him openly saying that they thought they could “fix” him, and so far so very good.
In April, House slashed .341/.424/.471, with two homers and five doubles. He hasn’t been healthy since then, and he may not have been healthy that last week in April when his BA fell from .386. I’m not that concerned about him, all in all. Just let him get completely healthy. I have more confidence that he’ll hit than I do that Green will.

New ownership new lens seen through . Fresh vision / ideas .
Winter season free agent signing for AAA depth ? Lefty swinging 1b /OF / DH type even with Frizz charging up ladder fast ?
Do you know where to find the complete interview? I listened to the YouTube linked below, but I think that’s only an excerpt.
Realize that the Nats suppress any information about their Instructional League, and are equally secretive about injuries to their prospects, but is there any word about whether Brady House is currently playing in Florida?
