Mitch Longo ended up being a LF only option as the skipper goes with several infielders in the outfield
Junior Martina can’t motor any higher than low A . Back to the complex .

while I think Cate benefited from a predominately LH Rome lineup he still pitched well.

It’s concerning that Cate is only at High A at this point. An injury?

well he struggled at AA last year so maybe this is a reset. I would hope he gets moved back up soon.

that St Paul team can hit and it seems like the entire lineup is hot right now. for the last 30 days they are carrying an .850 OPS. this ain’t the PCL!

Irvin topped out at 96 MPH. He gave up a couple hits, but quickly worked out of trouble. He looked very good.

Very encouraging news on Irvin. At one time he was touted as a second-rounder, maybe even late first, but he struggled in the postseason in his draft spring and dropped to the fourth round. Good to see him seeming to live up to that promise now that he’s healthy.
