Richard Guasch added two more goose eggs but lost the perfect game. After a 1-2-3 seventh, Dakody Clemmer walked the bases loaded in the 8th. Matt Brill lost the 2-0 lead with a bases-loaded walk and a groundout but preserved the tie. He lost the no-hitter in the 9th but earned the win, thanks to Brady Lindsly’s solo HR with one out. It was a long night with plenty of drama Last Night in Fredericksburg.
Good outings for Adon big club
Cavilli
Guasch transitioning to pen or just bridging the gap to the pen on Saturday
Shrug the shoulders , Jake !
SS bought dinner for team evidenced by the taters Sunday
Matt Cronin keeps his perfect line in AAA.
Sammy Infante is blossoming! After a pedestrian 2021 in Florida his OPS is .830 and still only 20.
Adrianza was back in the starting lineup for HBG last night. Senators pitching was outstanding until Clemmer couldn’t find the plate. I actually thought Sens would throw a no hitter and lose. Great walk off win!

How sharp was Cole Henry ?
You know you’re in a major rebuild when the ex Oriole waived players claimed mounts to about 3. All pitchers
Lucius Fox fits that description.
Fox makes four then
Henry was very sharp. Mid 90s fastball and weak contact.
When the bases were loaded in the eighth, I thought it would have been so baseball for the Senators to have a no-litter and lose.
City Island was packed last night. The Senators warned people that parking on the island was going to be scarce and to park in the city, then walk across the Walnut Street Bridge. I decided to take my chances and found a space. It wasn’t just the game parking; City Island was also parking for the arts festival on the waterfront in the city.
But, game parking had a lot to do with it, too. Hersheypark was giving out free tickets — 4,000 of them — and I have never seen a line like that to get into FNB Field. (It wrapped around the old soccer field.) I got there at 4:45, and I was even surprised there was a line for Sensylvania Club members. (That’s the name for the ticket plans. I have one.) The announced attendance was 7,604, and it’s been a long time since I’d seen FNB Field that packed. And I’d say at least 4,500 of those stuck around for the ending and the fireworks. (However, a family in my row left after the second. There were some people there just for the Hersheypark passes.) The park has a wildly different feel when the crowd is that large. I think I’ve gotten used to sedate Senators game crowds.
I’d love to find out the Nats f.o. thinking with Cole. He’s been lights out but somebody is nervous and he was injured twice last year. I listened to an interview with him 2 weeks ago and he said he feels like he has training wheels on.
Guasch was lousy as a starter this year but he was perfect in relief last night in 2 innings.
