Harrisburg vs. Bowie – PPD
For the second night in a row, rain washed the game(s) between Harrisburg and Bowie. They’ll try make up one today and the other in June.
Roster moves: RHP Danny Dopico placed on the development list.
Wilmington vs. Bowling Green –PPD/CNCLD
Likewise, the Blue Rocks and Hot Rods were rained out again. However, with this being the sole series between the two teams, they will cancel the final game and only play two this afternoon (weather permitting, natch).
Fredericksburg vs. Lynchburg – PPD
And, just like Friday night, the ‘Burgs were also rained out. They’ll make up one with a doubleheader this afternoon, and presumably, make up the other game next month when the Hillcats visit from June 7-12.
Carson Teel, looking good.
Thanks to W.N.Y. weather for letting us have some baseball to talk about.
I was looking at the box score for Rochester yesterday and counted 17 position players and 17 pitchers on the roster.
Is that okay to have that many people sitting around and just watching?
Luke your handsome guy could be working ground staff for a major airline in that yellow rain slick !!!
What is the dictionary explanation of the term
Developmental list ??
Good question! When I google it I find some info on a cubs website from 2021, but I don’t think it is up to date because it says you have to stay on the list for 7 days. If you look at the Rochester transactions list, it says that Luis Reyes went on the list on 5/3 and off on 5/6.
I don’t think I’ve seen the 3-day TIL in a while – maybe Development List replaced that?
Also every MLB team has a 180-man “Domestic Reserve List”. Does that mean players on 4 affiliates + FCL + XST has to be <= 180?
Bravo Shuman goes 6
