Nats Drop Third Straight, 4-3
Patrick Corbin got lit up for four runs on four hits, including a pair of homers as the Nats bats couldn’t bail him out in a 4-3 loss to the Marlins. It was Washington’s third straight “L.”
Just one watchlist player appeared in the game: Tres Barrera, who was the third catcher after Yan Gomes and Brandon Snyder and grounded out to end the game.
Cody Wilson and Luis García also made their usual appearances. Wilson took over in CF for Victor Robles and fanned for the second out in the 9th. García subbed for Starlin Castro and lined out to end the 8th.
Today is the penultimate off day for the Nationals (5-6-3). They hit the road for Port St. Lucie tomorrow to visit the Mets and return to West Palm Beach on Friday to play the visitor for the Astros.
