For those wondering, Robles is hitting .262 (11-for-42) with one homer, six RBI, four walks and eight strikeouts since returning to AAA last Thursday. He has stolen five bases. And of course, he’s been hit by a pitch once. Roster moves: RHP Austin Voth recalled to Washington; RHP Logan Darnell reassigned from Harrisburg.

An error, single, and Raudy Ready’s two-run double in the 1st were all the Senators could manage on offense, and it wasn’t enough as the Curve tied it with two in the 3rd and walked off against Roman Mendez in the 7th. Cesar Vargas went the first four innings and gave up the first two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five. After two scoreless from James Bourque, Mendez issued a walk, made an error on a bunt single, walked another, and then gave up the game-winner on another single. Harrisburg compiled six hits and two walks total.

Harrisburg 1 Binghamton 0 – GAME TWO

Carter Kieboom’s solo HR put Harrisburg up 1-0 and the pitchers made it stand up to split the doubleheader. Jaron Long finally got a “W” while turning in another quality start as he pitched into the 7th, allowing three hits and no walks while striking out five. Ronald Pena stranded a runner while getting the last two outs to earn his fourth save. Kieboom also singled, as did Jake Noll, to comprise the Sens offense.

Potomac 1 Myrtle Beach 0 – GAME ONE

The P-Nats loaded the bases on three walks in the 7th (one intentional) and Jakson Reetz squeezed a single between third base and the third baseman for a single and a 1-0 walk-off win in the opener. Ben Braymer struck out a career-high of 10 over five innings while winning pitcher A.J. Bogucki fanned four more over the last two innings. Reetz led Potomac’s four-hit offense with two singles while Nick Banks drew two of the team’s four walks.

Potomac 2 Myrtle Beach 1 – GAME TWO

Kyle Johnston wen the distance in the nightcap, which Potomac won, 2-1. Johnston walked five but struck out seven as he gave up two hits, including a solo HR. The P-Nats also hit just enough to win, taking advantage of another three walks in a single inning with Tres Barrera drawing the third base-on-balls that “strolled” in the game-winning run.

Hickory 4 Hagerstown 3 – GAME ONE

After Omer Meregildo’s three-run blast tied things up, the Hagerstown bullpen was unequal to the task of keeping things tied and coughed up the decisive run in the top of the 7th for a 4-3 loss. Jackson Tetreault got the start and pitched five innings of two-run ball on four hits and two walks while fanning eight. Jared Brasher, who was Shawn Kelley’d by the first batter he faced in the 6th, took the loss as he hit his second batter of the game with two outs and then gave up a double. The Suns managed seven hits and two walks total on offense, with Cole Freeman and Jake Scudder both reaching base twice.

Hagerstown 10 Hickory 5 – GAME TWO

In the second game, the Suns doubled up the Crawdads, 10-5 to split the twinbill. Malvin Pena won for the third time at Low-A with three runs allowed on nine hits over five innings. He walked one and struck out four. Every Hagerstown batter marched in the 12-hit parade, led by Armond Upshaw, Phil Caulfield, and Panaccione, who each had two singles and scored a run.

Auburn completed the four-game sweep of State College with a 21-hit barrage in a 12-5 smackdown. Francys Peguero evened up his won-loss record at 3-3 with a five innings of three-run ball on five hits and no walks with four whiffs. After falling behind 3-1 after three, the Doubledays scored 11 times in the final five “ups” with Carson Shaddy leading the way with five singles and two RBI, followed by Cole Daily who had a double and three singles.

Once again, the timing was right for a pitcher to go nine innings in a GCL game with the help of the weather. Rafael Gomez picked up where he left off and went five more innings to finish with a line of 10 hits and one walk allowed while striking out six. He would get credit for the win as the G-Nats scored three times in the 10th and the G-Mets only got one back for an 8-6 score in favor of the G-Nats. Fray Perez let in the free runner in the bottom of the 10th on a two-out single but still got credit for the save, his first.

GCL Nationals 7 GCL Mets 4 – GAME TWO

In the regularly scheduled game, the G-Nats dropped a fiver on the G-Mets in the 3rd to erase an early 1-0 deficit as they swept the de facto doubleheader with a 7-4 win. After an inning’s indulgence from Kirk Cousins’s cousin Jake Cousins, Leif Strom came on and scattered five hits over four innings with one run and one walk allowed while fanning three to earn his first win. Wilmer Perez doubled and homered and drove in three while Landerson Pena singled, doubled, and scored a run to lead the G-Nats attack. Roster move: RHP Jake Cousins assigned for MiLB rehab.

DSL Update
After a 4-2 week, including home-and-home sweeps of the D-Cardinals Blue and D-Rockies, the D-Nats are back over .500 at 28-26. This week, the fourth-place D-Nats play the 1st-place D-Twins, the fifth-place D-Phillies Red, and the last-place D-Angels.
