So anyone still think this big league team is going to win anything this season?
At least we only lost Gutierrez and Perkins to Rizzo’s permanent fixation on winning now.
Meanwhile, McKenzie Mills continues his NL East tour, and was traded to the Marlins for Justin Bour.
Think it’s time for Andrew Lee and Nick Raquet to switch places.
Last night was easily the worst non-playoff loss I’ve ever seen, eclipsing that game in 2015 when Wilmer Flores hit a walkoff against the Pitcher Formerly Known as Felipe Rivero. But assuming Madson is DL-bound (lucky if he doesn’t get a DFA after reportedly not disclosing his injury), it’ll be interesting to see who at Syracuse gets the call to replace him. Austen Williams last gave up a hit on July 18! He’s not on the 40-man roster, though.
It is frustrating to see Robles and Kieboom struggling again. Yesterday a rare quiet game for young Luis Garcia as well.
I would vote for Chris Smith or slide over to Jimmy Cordero
All this pitching catching up to Madsen since the KC WS run in 14??
Fernandez back in CF in dsl vs Mets this morning. Tatis drops 30 points in BA in a few days.
Luke done guys like Raquet may have to have shorter leashes bridging the relievers sooner in the games .granted some guys are hitting innings pitched ceilings for the campaign .
That blown save by Madsen last night ticked off many fans knowing a healthy Herrera / Doolittle combo would have sealed the deal. Ugh. Momentum stalled. Good thing is Ryan Lazarus Zimmerman el fuego
Interesting to see how Anderson uses Joey Harris now that there are 3 catchers on roster. I recall Harris used @ 3b in March in a game.
Interesting that Sandy Martinez in DSL is shifting the outfield rotation to Edangel Tovar to CF and B. Fernandez to LF
Just when Springfield fan updates Joey Harris back to Hagerstown. Another Romero
Reaches Burg bullpen
