Hagerstown threatened to make it three straight meltdowns in the 9th, giving up three in the 9th, but held on for a 6-5 win. Brigham Hill turned in a quality start of two runs on seven hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out one (1) while winning his third game. After two scoreless from Jhonatan German, Connor Zwetsch coughed up three in the 9th—with the “help” of the Suns’ fourth error—on three hits (including a two-run HR) before Phil Morse came on to strand the tying run with a whiff to earn his second save. Omar Meregildo and Alex Dunlap both homered and were among four Suns batters to collect multiple hits to lead the Hagerstown offense.

Yonathan Ramirez got his third win with six shutout innings on five hits and now walks while striking out four. David Smith bailed Colin Morse in the top of the 8th as left the bases loaded with a 5-2 lead and pitched a scoreless 9th for the save. Jamori Blash became the latest reverse-curse GBI as he walked, doubled, homered, and drove in three to lead the nine-hit, seven-walk Auburn offense. Roster move: RHP Reid Schaller reassigned from the GCL.
