The Chiefs doubled up the RedWings, 4-2 and prevented a three-game sweep in the series finale. Phillips Valdez made the spot start and tossed five scoreless innings with three baserunners (2H, HBP) and no walks or whiffs to earn his first win of the year. Justin Miller struck out four over the final two innings to garner the save, his first as well. Hunter Jones singled once and doubled twice to lead the Syracuse offense, while Yadiel Hernandez also reached base three times with two walks and a single.

Harrisburg vs. Richmond – PPD
The rains made it to southern Virginia to give Harrisburg and Richmond the night off. They’ll make it up on Saturday, June 9th with a doubleheader.

Potomac vs. Salem – PPD
And another rainout makes it a clean sweep – all three games rained out. The plan is to make up all three games in Salem, but doubleheader dates remain TBD as officials hope the P-Nats open up a large enough lead so they don’t need to be made up.

Hagerstown vs. Delmarva – PPD
The Suns-Shorebirds were also postponed, with the makeup doubleheader set for Sunday.

  1. Notice the bloodline Crownover is facing tonight ? Dan Plesac son Zach from my alma mater Ball State.
When I attended Ball State there was football player who decided to give baseball a try. Thomas Howard. Number one pick . Great story

    1. I believe Nats will truly go with Severino and Spencer ( rifle) Kie BOOM behind the plate until Weiters returns. If he returns …,
Kudos to scouts finding Wilson to help out AAA as super sub and Fleck in Burg bullpen from Rule 5 Dec 2017

        1. Nice outing for Chris Snith tonight fanning Mr Cousins in the 9 th.
Safe to say Luke. Nats will go with
Lowery , Reynolds and Tuffy behind the plate until Read reaches Cuse in his accent back from time off for bad behavior ??
Maybe Nats could stock Cuse with the Birds Joseph brothers ? Lol
