Those guys at BA would make good Washington political stenographers, er…”reporters.”
FWIW, the Chiefs might actually have a decent team for their last season in Syracuse, particularly if EJax doesn’t opt out right away. A rotation of Fedde, Jackson, Milone, Voth, and maybe Long looks pretty good, at least on paper. The bullpen should be solid, too. The Robles Show will be in town as well, at least for half the summer.
Meanwhile, back in The Show, it looks like the last bench spot is between Reynolds and Sanchez, although Reynolds has hit significantly better during the spring, so it’s likely his. The bullpen battle is down to three, with two slots available, among Grace, Romero, and Gott. Gott has an option, as does Solis, although scuttlebutt is that Solis is sticking. All of this is subject to change if Hellickson bumps Cole to the ‘pen in a couple of weeks, though.
(If they have any interest in moving Cole, call 1-800-SFGIANTS.)
So Montero will be added to the 40-man roster.
Someone will have to come off, unless there is a trip to the 60-day DL for someone (Koda Glover?).
