Syracuse completed a three-game sweep of Pawtucket with a 6-4 win. Wait, what? Roster move: RHP Cody Satterwhite activated from the 3-Day TIL.

The Fightins got two in the 1st and four in the 3rd against cannon fodd..er, Taylor Hill before the rains came and handed the Sens a 6-1 loss in five innings. Hill gave up his organization-leading 22nd HR in the 1st and six hits total over four innings while walking two and striking out one as he lost his third AA contest and eighth overall. Victor Robles homered to lead off the game while Drew Ward doubled to lead the Harrisburg hit tally of five.

Winston-Salem scored in each of the first five innings as they cruised past Potomac, 9-2 in the series opener. Sterling Sharp battled through six innings on 94 pitches and was charged with seven runs on nine hits and five walks as he lost his Carolina League debut. Daniel Johnson remains red-hot with three singles while Ian Sagdal and David Masters added two apiece to account for seven of the nine P-Nats’ hits. Roster moves: RHP Sterling Sharp promoted from Hagerstown; LHP Tim Collins assigned to XST.

The Suns squeezed four runs out of three doubles and a walk and were leading 4-2 going into the 9th when the Blue Claws decoded Phil Morse for three runs and a 5-4 walkoff win. Brigham Hill turned in five innings of two-run ball on four hits in his Sally Lg. debut, walking none and fanning six. Morse took the loss as he gave up three runs on four hits while getting two outs in the 9th for the blown-save-loss. Oliver Ortiz, Paul Panaccione, and Tres Barrera each had a double while Telmito drew the lone Walk to comprise the Hagerstown offense.

Since alcohol sales usually end in the 7th, there was no beer to hold, but those who stayed in Falcon Park had to watch this: an eight-run meltdown in the top of the 10th to turn a 7-7 tie into an 15-7 extra-innings loss by Auburn. Jackson Tetrault got the start and didn’t make it out of the 4th as he was charged with five runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks while fanning two. David Smith gave up nine hits in the 10th and all eight runs in his second inning thrown for his third loss. Kameron Esthay and Omar Meregildo both homered while Branden Boggetto reached base three times as the trio combined for seven hits, three runs, and six RBI to pace the Doubledays’ offense. Roster moves: LHP Seth Romero reassigned from the GCL.

The G-Nats’ 11-5 lead through five vanished in just two innings as the G-Cards scored once in the 6th and eight times in the 7th for a 14-12 win. Starter Tomas Alastre was strafed for five runs on five hits and three walks over four and a 1/3rd innings. The blown-save-loss went to Darly Infante, who was touched for four runs on two hits and two walks over two innings. Jose Sanchez drove in four and scored twice while going 3-for-5 to lead the G-Nats’ attack. Roster moves: OF Luis Perdomo released; OF Rafael Bautista assigned from Syracuse for MiLB rehab.
