Doubledays pounded out 21 hits and scored eight runs, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 9-0 deficit after two innings as the Spikes won again, 10-8.
Still no Robles after the HBP. Has there been any word on the severity and expected time off?
He was spotted on the field last night, so methinks it’s not bad enough for him to be put on the DL, but I’ve also seen players on the DL with alleged injuries warming up outfielders , so….
Here is an interesting pitcher comparison:
Player A (Age – 24, Level – AAA): 109.2 IP, 90 K, 35 BB, 1.258 WHIP
Player B (Age – 24, Level – AAA): 103.1 IP, 90 K, 31 BB, 1.374 WHIP
Player A is Austin Voth. Player B is A.J. Cole.
I’ m sure Voth’s numbers are a whole lot worse than a month ago.
Ever since he was bypassed by the F.O. he’ s not been the same.
good pull.
have to think one cold be gone if a deal is made at the deadline. not as the key piece however. just solid 4-5 starter/mid reliever prospects.
Dunning should have started another game at Auburn by now. anyone with news?
Not listed in the Auburn probables through Tuesday… seems logical to infer that he might be shut down.
Holy cow. 21 hits by Auburn, and not a single one for extra bases. That has to be a record. 32 total hits total in the game, and 31 were singles!
Also, a wild JD Martin appeared in the GCL last night. What the hell? He’s been out of baseball for 2 years, and then returns to pitch for the GCL? What’s the deal with that?
Finally, I have to assume the Nats have forgotten about that PTBNL in the Revere/Storen deal. Is there a deadline to announce these sort of things? Even the Turner deal (and they had to make a new rule to avoid it) didn’t take this long…
I read somewhere that the Nats took cash instead of the player in the Revere deal.
Do we know that it’s the JD Martin?
I thought that Dunning was listed as the starter a few days ago, but didn’t pitch?
Banks looks to be heating up. Given that he was a big time college player, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him bumped to Hagerstown.
Wally, I was thinking the same thing. THE J.D. Martin? Can’t be.
I’d love to see Banks get some AB’s before the instructs.
Well, unless there’s another J.D. Martin who was born on the exact same day in 1983, I’m gonna go with “yes.”
